Just about anything can fit in this large tote bag. Make it from fabric tubes filled with double-sided fusible batting or medium weight cotton batting. Zigzag stitch together. Leave it plain or add pockets inside and a closure outside.

Aunties Two – Anything Goes bag pattern

40 strips – 2 ½” or 3 yards fabric – suggestion – use 3-4 colorways several prints

Binding – ½ yard (Top of bag & strap)

Interfacing – single or double sided fusible fleece – ¾ yard, plus 28 – 2 ¼” strips batting (2 ¼ yds)

(I recommend a combination of fusible fleece (center strips) & warm & natural batting for remainder strips - you can use leftover batting from quilt projects

Coordinating thread

Handles – Plastic ¼” wide Polyethylene tubing .170 (available at Home Depot or Lowes)

Stiff Interfacing – Craf-tex, Peltex or Rigid Weave – 2 strips 1 ¾” x 27 ½”

Buttons – Inside pockets – 4 small and 2 medium

Closure – 2 large or more for layered look –

                 1 magnetic snap closure

Sewing tools - sewing machine with good zigzag stitch, machine needles – Denim Needle 110/18 (Inspira brands work great or Superior Titanium #14 Topstitch needles), scissors – large & small, rotary mat , rotary cutter, large acrylic ruler (6 x 24”), chalk or marking pen, seam ripper, measuring tape.

Pre-work – Cut 40 – 2 ½ strips from assorted cotton fabrics. Batting – cut 12 – 2 ¼”” strips from fusible fleece and 28 – 2 ¼” strips from warm & natural batting.
